Stephanie Dolen is a Bay-Area based photographer who specializes in tabletop and still photography. Her images are clean, tasty and sophisticated so I created a logo that I hope translates just that.
This logo is based on the type Bodoni 72. I cleaned up many of the lines to make it concise as possible upon closer inspection. The serifs were too wide to be legible from afar. Minimizing the width allowed the eyes breathability between each individual letter (ie. H & N). To keep consistent, I also minimized the serifs on letters D & l. The key aspect that makes this mark unique is the angle between the P in her first name and the D in her last name. I then changed the angle on the serif of letters P, N, I & L. The serifs on L & I are completely cut off to be consistent with the angle play of letters P & D.
